Ranchi, March 21: The Income Tax department on Tuesday evening started a search and survey against liquor businessman Yogendra Tiwari. The survey was undertaken at Maihar Hotel in Dumka, Maihar, Maihar Resort and Jai Bhavani Enterprises in Deoghar.
A 15-member team of IT started a search and survey to investigate allegations of tax evasion by him. Yogendra Tiwari is a key player in the liquor business in Jharkhand. Notably, the Enforcement Directorate had once summoned him in course of an investigation of a case. He is also involved in the hotel industry in Jharkhand.
