Ranchi, Aug 7: As the investigation progresses in the Jharkhand MLA Cash Seizure case, the CID team of West Bengal Police has issued a notice to Ashok Kumar Dhanuka of Guwahati, Assam under section 41A of CrPC for collecting evidence of that cash scandal. Along with this, he has been asked to appear in Bhavani Bhavan at 10 am on Monday. Sources claim that the CID team in Guwahati had gone to his house to serve the notice, however, his house was guarded by the Assam Police.

The CID team of West Bengal Police had gone to Assam to collect CCTV footage and other evidence regarding the arrest of three Congress MLAs from Jharkhand and collected CCTV footage from the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport in Guwahati and a hotel.

During the investigation by Kolkata CID, it has come to light that on July 30, MLA Irfan Ansari had gone to the office of a businessman located in Lal Bazar, Kolkata, along with his assistant Kumar Prateek. It was here that Mahendra Agarwal gave him Rs 49 lakh.

Before this, all had reached a hotel on Sadar Street at 3.06 pm, and all had left at 3.14 pm. The hotel staff had in their statement said that the MLAs had claimed to have been VVIPs. This was the reason why the entry was not allowed to their rooms. The Bengal CID has arrested Agarwal already.
