Ranchi: The Jharkhand Police Headquarters has released a set of comprehensive guidelines to ensure timely promotions and financial benefits, including ACP and MACP entitlements, for police officers and personnel across the state. The directive was issued following a meeting chaired by DGP on March 6, where key decisions were made to streamline service-related matters.

Subsequent to the meeting, orders were sent to all Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP), Superintendents of Police (SP), and Commandants in various districts and units to implement the new measures effectively.

Key Guidelines Issued:

1. Timely Completion of Pending ACP/MACP Processes:

All pending actions related to Assured Career Progression (ACP) and Modified ACP (MACP) schemes must be completed within the stipulated time.

2. Promotion-Related Tasks:

Work associated with the promotion of police officers and personnel must be executed promptly.

3. Benefits for Drivers and Class IV Staff:

Drivers, fourth-grade employees, and equivalent cadres should be provided with ACP/MACP benefits without delay.

4. Service Book Creation for New Recruits:

Service records of newly appointed officers and personnel must be initiated within 15 days of joining.

5. Inclusion of District Accounts Officer:

District accounts officers should be included as members in committees handling ACP/MACP matters.

6. Online Property Declarations:

Officers must submit their property details online along with proper nominations, including the date.

7. Updating Service Records After Transfers:

Service books of officers and personnel transferred to other locations must be updated and sent to the respective district/unit within 15 days.

8. Timely Confirmation of Services:

Departments must ensure timely confirmation of the services of police personnel.

The move is aimed at ensuring transparency, efficiency, and timely career progression within the police force, aligning with administrative reforms for better service delivery.
