Ranchi, Aug.22: The Jharkhand police recovered a minor girl missing from Sukhdeo Nagar area from a red light area of Uttar Pradesh (UP).
The minor girl was sent to a female pimp by her own neighbour. In the raid done with the UP police, many girls trapped by the female broker have also been rescued.
The breakthrough came after on August 13, the family members of the minor girl lodged an FIR at the Sukhdeo Nagar police station regarding the disappearance of their daughter. In the registered FIR, a person named Jwala Prasad was an accused.
Jwala Prasad used to live in the neighborhood of the minor. When the Sukhdeo Nagar police started investigation of the case, they came to know that the minor had been sold to a female pimp in Kasia Bazar, Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh.
When a team from the said police station reached Kasia Bazar in UP, they informed the local police about the entire issue. The UP police also had some information in this matter. After getting concrete information, the Ranchi police along with the UP police raided the woman’s hideout, from where not only the minor of Ranchi was recovered, but also some other girls who had come from different cities were also freed.
At present the female pimp is in the custody of the UP police.
