Ranchi, April 27: The Jharkhand Raj Bhawan is set to invite 100 special people to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 100th episode of ‘Maan Ki Baat’ on April 30.

The invitees include Padma Awardees, sports persons, vice chancellors and the members of the civil society.

According to sources, the Darbar hall is specially being decked up to make the 100 invitees comfortable to listen to Modi’s flagship address, Mann Ki Baat, which was aired for the first time on October 3, 2014.

Sources said that Governor C P Radhakrishnan will also host a sumptuous lunch for the listeners after the prime minister concludes his address.

“The Maan ki Baat job has been trusted to the Governor, a former BJP MP from Tamil Nadu, since Chief Minister Hemant Soren is not expected to do it,” mused an official.

Meanwhile, the State BJP is also geared up to host Modi’s flagship address on a massive scale. “All the elected representatives, including the party MPs and MLAs have been tasked to listen to the address with at least 100 persons at 100 places in each of 81 assembly constituencies,” said BJP state president Deepak Prakash.

‘Besides, the party leaders have been asked to listen to the address with various sections of society at different places too. The purpose is to connect people from every polling booth in the State with the programme,” Prakash, who will listen to it alongwith 2000 persons at Samlong, outskirts of Ranchi.

All the BJP leaders, who will host the programme, will upload the photograph at the ‘Mann ki baat’ app by 12.30 pm.

Notably, several persons from Jharkhand, who are doing exceptional work, have figured prominently among 500 Indians, discussed by the prime minister during the ‘Maan Ki baat’ episodes.

Now, Mann Ki Baat is translated into 23 Indian languages and 29 dialects. Over the years, the programme encompassed several topics ranging from weather, environment, cleanliness, various social issues to even examinations.

Recently, Modi had praised the library man of Jharkhand Sanjay Kachhap. This library man has so far established 40 libraries in Kolhan region of Jharkhand.

Modi also praised the tribals in the Mann Ki Baat programme, saying there has been a good representation of the tribal community and people associated with tribal life among those honoured with the Padma Awards this year.

In one of the episodes, he talked to 11 other women, including Meera Devi, director of Adarsh Bamboo Career Committee, operated in Kelo village, Rania block of Khunti district, Jharkhand. Meera Devi is making other women financially independent along with her by making bamboo material.

Modi has also talked about organ donation during the programme. He mentioned 63-year-old Snehlata Choudhary, a resident of Seraikela in Jharkhand.

The Prime Minister termed Snehlata as a source of inspiration. He tweeted that the resolution taken by Snehlata Chaudhary of Seraikela in Jharkhand to donate organs during her lifetime is going to inspire everyone.

Meanwhile, according to reports, Modi will mention Navratnagarh, the capital of erstwhile Nagvanshi king Durjanshal in Gumla, on April 30.

Azhar Sabir of Archeology Department, Ranchi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss Navratnagarh in Mann Ki Baat on 30th April. On this occasion, the technical team conducting and broadcasting the Mann Ki Baat programme at Navratangarh Sisai, a centrally protected monument of the Archaeological Survey of India under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has organized a program from 6.00 pm on April 29, in which information related to historical heritage will be provided. It will be very attractive and beneficial for the students.
