National Thang-Ta championship: Jharkhand teams leave for Jammu

Dhanbad, Dec 16: 17-member boys and girls teams of Jharkhand today left for Jammu to participate in  the National Thang-Ta championship scheduled to be played at Jammu Indoor Sports Complex from December 18 to 21.
Ranji Kesri, president of the state Thang-Ta Association said that players have been selected on the basis of their performance in training cum selection trial camp held in Dhanbad. Nine players have been selected in the women’s team while eight in men’s.
Teams are (girls) Priyadarshani Kumari, Sunita Kumari, Iesa Kumari, Sakshi Kumari, Julee Kumari, Poonam Kumari, Samridhi Kumari and Khushi Kumari.

Boys team- Sumit Tudu, Shivam Kumar Mahto, Manish Kumar Ram Sandeep Kumar Paswan, Saurav Bharti, Santosh Kumar, Anish Yadav and  Krishna Kumar Sab.

Kesri said Sanju Kumar and Sidharth Shresth have been made coach and manager of the teams respectively.

The officials of the association, including Suraj Verma, Mamta Pandey, Sidharth Kumar, Ram Kumar Vikash Kumar and Mritunjay Kumar saw the teams off at Dhanbad railway station.
