Ranchi, Feb.3: One of the terror funding accused Sonu Agrawal has knocked on the door of the Supreme Court seeking justice.

Agrawal through his petition pleaded his innocence saying he was a victim of extortion and has never given levy to extremists and ‘extortion is not levy’.

A source close to Agrawal informed this saying that the matter is expected to be taken up next week.

Agrawal is a coal transporter who runs M/s Balaji Transport and Warehousing Pvt Ltd. NIA is behind him after the Jharkhand High Court rejected his application seeking the quashing of terror funding charges by NIA on January 19.

Meanwhile, in another development in the matter related to terror funding, the NIA special court reserved judgment in the bail petition filed by a terror fund accused Mahesh Agrawal.

The order is expected to be pronounced on February 26, a court lawyer said.

Sources close to Agrawal said Supreme Court lawyer Vikash Pahwa argued in favour of Agrawal.

Agrawal is CEO of Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited. He was arrested after Jharkhand High Court rejected his application seeking the quashing of terror funding charges by NIA on January 19.
