Ranchi, May 2: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today inaugurated 80 schools of excellence online sitting at Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo High School at Jagannathpur in Jharkhand capital.
The purpose of opening the school is to match the educational standard of the best schools in the country and take the quality of education to a new height.
The principals and teachers of all the excellence schools have been imparted training by the state government according to the CBSE course from IIMs.
In the inauguration function, the chief minister said as many as 25 teachers will be appointed for the schools by the end of this month and in future around 5000 more schools of excellence will be opened.
“Providing quality education to the children of all classes and communities including Jharkhand’s tribal, Dalits, backward, laborers and farmers is one of the top priorities of our government. Our government is continuously working with commitment to strengthen the education system in the state,” the chief minister said.
Talking about the importance of education the CM said: “Education is such a weapon through which everything can be achieved. Today we talk about converting only 4 to 5 thousand schools into schools of excellence, while there are more than 35 thousand schools in Jharkhand. The way in which the situation of education remained in these schools for years, now the work is being done to change it.”
