Jamshedpur, Dec 23: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre predicted clear weather in most parts of Jharkhand on Friday and in the next 72- hours. Weathermen also hinted at a slight rise in minimum readings during the next two to three days.
“The shallow fog coupled with mist, especially in hilly terrains would prevent the minimum temperature from dropping for the next few days after which the Celsius would again witness a fall, ” said a duty officer at Ranchi Met Centre.
Meanwhile, Met statistics revealed that Simdega continued to record the lowest temperature of the state for the second consecutive today with the local observatory recording around 6.7 degrees Celsius.
Several places in Central Jharkhand including Ramgarh recorded around 7 degrees Celsius while the capital Ranchi recorded around 8 degrees Celsius.
Daltonganj and Bokaro too recorded around 8 degree Celsius while Deoghar, Giridih and several leather places in northeastern Jharkhand recorded around 10 degrees Celsius.
