Jharkhand Tourism department to organise adventure sports between Jan to March

Ranchi, Jan 28: The state tourism department is all set to begin organising several aqua and aero adventure sports between January and March 2022 in several regions of the state.

The Directorate of Tourism (DoT), Government of Jharkhand has taken out tenders and invited bids from interested agencies with an intention to select one for organising different adventure sports at different locations around the districts of the state for a period January to March 2022. The main objective is to showcase and provide comprehensive information on Jharkhand tourist destinations, create a strong brand identity and awareness of Jharkhand Tourism amongst the target tourists etc.

Interested agencies may download the documents after 5 pm on January 27, from the Department of tourism website www.tourism.jharkhand.gov.in/ and submit their applications. The last date to submit bids is till 2 pm on February 8. A Technical Bid and Financial Bid opening conference will be held at 3 pm on February 8 at the office of the Directorate of Tourism (DoT), Government of Jharkhand.

Director (Tourism) Nitish Kumar Singh, while talking of the regions to be selected for these activities on Friday said, ‘We want to organize such activities in all districts, but mainly near water bodies.’

“Tourism officials of the said district will monitor the events and ensure that all activities are being done as per the work order provided to the agencies,” added Singh.

He further said that the types of adventure sports to be organised include water and aero-sports activities as mentioned in the document present under the tender on the website.

Notably, a pre-bid conference will be held at 3 pm on February 1 at the MDI Building, second floor, HEC Campus, Dhurwa, Ranchi. All subsequent notifications, changes and amendments will be posted on the website www.tourism.jharkhand.gov.in/.
