Daltonganj, March 21: Last night, extremists from the banned naxal outfit TSPC (Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee) set on fire the engines of three tractors parked at a brick kiln at Kanda Ghatee which is a kilometre away from NH 98.

Palamu’s SP, Chandan Kumar Sinha confirmed the incident, saying the modus operandi sufficiently raises fingers towards the TSPC extremists. The case has been filed by the Nawa Bazaar police, and an investigation is underway, according to the SP.

The brick kiln workers were intimidated and abused, by TSPC extremists to instil fear among the workers. However, Sinha stated that neither the police nor the brick kiln owner found any TSPC leaflets at the arson site.

According to Chandan Kumar Sinha, no phone calls were made to the brick kiln owner regarding the levy. Furthermore, the arson of three tractors’ engines was intended to financially ruin the brick kiln operator and put him under levy pressure.
