Jharkhand’s IPS Officers: Where did you get the guts to be Rajesh Kumar’s pallbearers? Did your hands tremble as you paid your respects?

Rajesh Kumar, a BSF Deputy Commandant, was killed in an encounter with JJMP on September 28. He was given a final salute and farewell today. Officers and police personnel put flower garlands on the hearses. IPS officers from Jharkhand were among those who carried Rajesh’s body on their shoulders. What I’m curious about is where did you get the bravery to do this. Were you embarrassed when you offered your shoulder to the body? How did your shoulder not break? How did you keep your hands from trembling when presenting flowers as a tribute? Have any of you considered that all of these tributes, parades, and salutes are the result of your own sins?

The JJMP is a militant group. How was this organization formed? Who paid for it? Which officers were involved in this organization’s unlawful operations, such as extortion? Which officials took responsibility for the killing of this organization’s Naxalites and received awards? All you IPS Officers are familiar with these people. Former DGP DK Pandey, in particular, who spoke about “Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas,” must not have forgotten. The police officer who took credit for the Bakoria tragedy is now keen to advance in his career and roll in the coal. He mustn’t have forgotten about the IPS who assisted JJMP while he was in Gumla. They, too, are now reaping the benefits of their promotions. This is a lengthy list. We’ll discuss it at a later time.

There’s still time. Keep your eyes peeled. Stop creating criminal and extremist organisations in the name of combating crime and Naxalism. Stop giving them money and then participating in their extortions. It is solely your obligation to put a stop to these crooks and fanatics. You can’t control it with another organisation. This is not permitted by the law or by your society. If you try to do something similar, the outcomes will be the same as they are now. Then some Rajesh Kumar will have to be martyred once more.

It is high time for you to eliminate such extremist-criminal organisations. You must break all ties with anyone who supports such organisations. If you die, it should be at the hands of your enemies, not those whom you raised yourself. It can only be done by you and no one else. This is your time to make amends for previous transgressions. Allowing it to spiral out of control is not a good idea.
