Jio prepaid tariffs increase following Airtel, Vi

New Delhi, Nov.29: Reliance Jio has increased the cost of various prepaid plan offers, following in the footsteps of Airtel and Vodafone Idea. A price increase of up to Rs. 480 has been implemented on its unlimited prepaid plan offers. Reliance Jio also claims that it has raised tariffs in order to support a “durable telecom industry.”

According to the latest subscription statistics from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Jio has the most wireless subscribers, accounting for 36.43 percent of the market. Jio is said to have 424.837 million wireless users in India as of September 2021.

Although the prices of many Reliance Jio unlimited plans, one JioPhone package, and data add-ons have increased, the benefits have not. The most expensive Rs. 2,399 will now cost Rs. 2,879, representing a Rs. 480 price increase. The plan still includes 365 days of validity, 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS each day. The new plans will take effect on December 1st, according to Reliance Jio.

Starting in December, the Rs. 75 JioPhone package will be priced at Rs. 91. It will continue to provide 3GB of data per month, unlimited voice calls, and 50 SMS messages with a 28-day validity period. Similarly, the Rs. 51, Rs. 101, and Rs. 251 data add-on plans would now cost Rs. 61, Rs. 121, and Rs. 301, respectively. These data add-on packs provide up to 50GB of data.

Unlimited voice calling is included in all Jio unlimited plans. The Rs. 129 prepaid package will cost Rs. 155 and includes 2GB of data per month and 300 SMS messages with a 28-day validity period. The Rs. 149 prepaid plan will cost Rs. 179 and includes 1GB of data per day, unlimited talking, and 100 SMS messages per day for a 24-day validity period. The Rs. 199 box will be marketed at Rs. 239, with a 28-day validity period. Daily data allowance of 5GB, unlimited voice, and 100 SMS messages.

Several other Jio unlimited plans with 56 days, 84 days and 336 days validity will also see price hikes. See all the changed prepaid plan prices below:
