Jammu, Oct.23: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has issued new guidelines requiring authentic and verifiable RT-PCR/Rapid Antigen Test results to be submitted within 72 hours of entry in the Union Territory to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Only those pilgrims who do not display any COVID symptoms will be permitted to enter the shrine, according to the directive issued by the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

“It should be made necessary to do a valid and verified RT-PCR/Rapid Antigen Test within 72 hours of arrival. Only those pilgrims who are free of COVID-19-related symptoms will be allowed to enter the shrine, “according to the instruction.

The directive, issued by the UT’s Chief Secretary, stated, “Strict adherence to COVID-19 proper behavior/SOP must be followed.”

This comes after it was discovered that the COVID-19 cases in the UT are trending unevenly, indicating that existing COVID-19 containment measures in all districts must be maintained.
