J&K: Civilian succumbs to injury after being shot in Shopian encounter

Shopian, May 15: Terrorists fired upon a joint patrol party of CRPF-182 Bn/SOG of Pulwama near the bridge connecting Litter, Pulwama with Turkwangam, Shopian on Sunday. During the exchange of fire between terrorists and the joint team of police and security forces, one civilian was injured. The injured was referred to the hospital, where he succumbs to his injuries.

“A civilian was injured in cross-firing in an encounter between terrorists and joint team of police and security forces in Turkwagam in Shopian district. The injured was taken to SHMS hospital, Srinagar,” said J&K Police.

Terrorists fired upon a joint patrol party of CRPF-182 Bn/SOG of Pulwama near the bridge connecting Litter, Pulwama with Turkwangam, Shopian. During the exchange of fire between terrorists and our joint team, one civilian was injured and referred to hospital: IGP Kashmir
