J&K: One soldier dies, three injured in fratricide inside army camp

Srinagar, July 15: A soldier was killed and three others were hurt in an alleged gunfight inside an Army camp on Friday morning in Jammu and Kashmir’s Surankote area of the Poonch district.

A senior Army officer confirmed the occurrence but stated that more information was sought. He said that the victims were from the Territorial Army.

According to accounts, the incident happened when the soldiers were being sent out to perform ROP (road opening party) duty. They said, The injured have been brought to the hospital.
