Ranchi, Feb.2: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha compared the BJP-led central government’s budget today to keeping Rs.101 as a sign of well wishes in a Rs.500 envelope while attending a marriage celebration.
JMM senior leader Supriyo Bhattacharya made the remark in a press statement issued from his office this evening. “Today’s budget is not only full of pessimism, but also with the illusion of elegant words,” Bhattacharya observed.
According to the JMM leader, the government’s promises on income tax easing are far from true, as the income tax cap has been raised from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. According to him, anyone with an income of more than Rs 3 lakh will be required to pay income tax.
He stated that the tax amount for earning between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 6 lakh is 5% of the revenue above Rs 3 lakh. Today, 80 percent of people have a monthly salary of Rs 25000 or less. It also means that lower-income people will be squeezed, he says.
Concerning the decision to open a nursing college for job prospects, JMM leader Bhattacharya stated that it is a move to help BJP cronies who operate corporate medical facilities. He claimed that the budgets fail to address the issue of youth unemployment.
In response to Saptarshi’s budget phrase, Bhattacharya stated that the term is fancy and has been used to deceive farmers, labourers, youth, micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs. He stated that the budget will result in price increases and new obstacles.
