Ranchi, Nov 23: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is set to conduct the 11th JPSC Civil Services Examination by March-April in 2023.

The Personnel Department has even started preparing to send information regarding vacancies regarding 350 posts to the Commission by January-February 2023. Meanwhile, about 40 posts have been sent to the Personnel Department so far by other departments. Information about another 300 vacancies is likely to be sent to the department by February 2023.

Sources have also claimed that the 11th and 12th Civil Services Examinations may be taken together to keep the calendar up to date. Notably, the 7th to 10th Civil Services Examination has been completed in 2020.

As per the schedule, the 11th Civil Services Examination should have been held in the year 2021. However, this did not happen. According to the rules of the state government, now the civil service examination will be named by year. On this basis, the 11th Civil Services Examination will mainly be called Civil Services Examination-2021 and the 12th Civil Services Examination will mainly be called Civil Services Examination 2022.

Meanwhile, the appointment of Civil Services Backlog by JPSC is pending almost for the last five years. In November 2017, the commission invited applications from eligible candidates for a total of 10 posts till January 19, 2019, however, this appointment test is currently stuck.

A total of 10 posts include four posts of State Police Service (BC-2), four posts of State Prison Service (two SC, one BC-1 and one BC-2) and two posts of State Planning Service (SC). The minimum age limit for the candidates in the State Planning Service was 21 years as on August 1, 2013, 20 years as on August 1, 2016, for the candidates in the State Police Service and 22 years as on August 1, 2017, for the candidates for the State Prison Service.
