JSBC member knocks on Jharkhand HC’s door against JSBCCL director, engineers

Ranchi, Nov 1: Jharkhand High Court advocate and a member of State Bar Council Ram Subhag Singh has filed a PIL saying Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Limited (JSBCCL) executive director Sanjay Kumar Singh and engineers working under him are not qualified for their job.

Demanding the appointment of well-qualified and deserving candidates in the company, Ram Subhag alleged Sanjay of being involved in financial irregularities and thus sought an ED investigation into the matter.

Notably, Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Limited (JSBCCL) is a newly formed state-owned undertaking of the Jharkhand Government. The corporation is engaged in building construction projects for various departments of the Government of Jharkhand.

JSBCCL is currently implementing the construction of around 800 schemes in all 24 districts of Jharkhand. Since its inception on January 5, 2016 it has completed 315 schemes.

Currently JSBCCL implements schemes of the following departments including, Health Medical Education & Family Welfare Department, Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Co-Operative Department, Higher Technical Education & Skill Development Department, Information Technology & E- Governance Department, Labour Employment & Training Department, School Education & Literacy Department, Social Welfare, Women & Child Development Department, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs Department Welfare Department and others
