Ranchi, Oct 11: The Jharkhand States Cricket Association (JSCA) and Radisson Blu, Ranchi are hopeful to successfully conduct the T20 match between India and New Zealand in Ranchi on November 19.

According to the standards set by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), cricket players can stay in the hotel Radisson Blu, located in the capital of the state. According to the information, Hotel Radisson Blu is booked for 19th and 20th November. It is being told that in case of non-availability of room in the hotel, the match can be shifted.

According to the information, an IAS officer of Bihar cadre has made a booking at Hotel Radisson Blu on November 19 and 20. If sources are to be believed, the matter of booking 20 to 25 rooms by the officer is coming to the fore. JSCA officials are in constant touch with the officer, but he is adamant about not cancelling the booking. In such a situation, if the room in Hotel Radisson Blu is not vacant, then due to this the T20 match played between India and New Zealand at JSCA Stadium can be shifted to another venue.

JSCA Vice President Ajay Nath Shahdev said that 80-85 rooms are required for the players but only 60 rooms are made available by the hotel as there is a marriage ceremony. “We are continuously in touch with the hotel for the availability and in very extreme situations the match will be shifted to another venue,” he further added.

The Associate Director of Radisson Blu Devesh Kumar said that talks are going on for shifting the booking of the existing booking of the date so that the rooms can be made available.

“We are trying and hopefully more than 20 rooms will be available soon so that match does not shift to another venue,” he further said.

The New Zealand cricket team is going to visit India in November. During this, the visiting team will play three T20s and two test matches. The first T20 will be played on November 17 in Jaipur. At the same time, the second T20 is to be played in Ranchi on 19 November. The third T20 between the two countries will be held on November 21 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

After a very long period of two years, an international match will be played in Ranchi.
