Bengaluru, Feb 10: Karnataka HC on Thursday said that it will pass an order directing reopening of colleges and asked students not to insist on wearing any religious things till the disposal of the matter.

“Peace and tranquillity must be restored,” said the court.

A three-judge bench led by Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi and including Justice Dixit and Justice Jaibunnisa M. Khazi said the matter will be heard again on Monday, February 14.

On Wednesday, the case was referred to a larger Bench by Justice Krishna S. Dixit, who asked the Registry to forward the petitions to the Chief Justice for the formation of such a Bench due to the urgency of the matter.
