Bangalore, Dec 31: Karnataka reported 23 more cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus on Friday, taking the State’s tally to 66, State’s Health Minister K Sudhakar said on Friday.
“Twenty-three new cases of Omicron confirmed in Karnatka today, of which 19 are international travellers from the USA, Europe, Middle-East and Africa,” Sudhakar said in a tweet.
Earlier in the day, Kerala reported 44 more cases of Omicron of , taking the total number of infections in the state to 107.
Notably, India reported its first two cases of the Omicron on December 2.
