Kejriwal slams Punjab Govt over drugs cases, calls Channi govt weak

Amritsar, Dec 24: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday slammed Channi led government over drug cases and internal disputes.

He alleged a conspiracy behind the recent cases of sacrilege and explosion, and said the Channi government very week and said that Punjab needs a strong and actionable government. He also called the drug case against Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia a “political stunt”.

“Channi government is a very weak government. They have internal disputes. Today Punjab needs a strong and actionable government,” said Kejriwal.

Kejriwal promised an honest, strong and stable government that will bring the culprits to book.

“If we are elected, we will ensure that there is no sacrilege of any religion, and those involved in sacrilege are punished. All bomb blasts will be investigated, their masterminds will be sent to jail,” said Kejriwal.

We will give an honest and strict government to Punjab. Until we have such a govt in the state, bomb blasts like (Ludhiana court) will continue. We are the only party that works honestly. we brought an end to corruption in Delhi,” he said further.

Arvind Kejriwal is on a visit to Punjab. Punjab assembly polls are scheduled to be held in early 2022.In the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections, the Congress won an absolute majority with 77 seats, deposing the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-BJP government after ten years in power.
