New Delhi, Nov 15: Kieron Pollard, one of the best international players to ever compete in the Indian Premier Tournament (IPL), has made the decision to end his career in the T20 league. Pollard, a one-franchise player in the IPL, has been a cornerstone of the Mumbai Indians. After playing for MI for 13 seasons, he made the decision to hang up his cleats, but he will still be a part of the MI family in his new position as batting coach.
Pollard joined Mumbai Indians in 2010 and has since emerged as one of this generation’s greatest players, winning 5 IPL and 2 Champions League medals with the team.
As a batting coach and a player for MI Emirates, Pollard is and will always be at #MIForever and will use his decades of expertise and talent to improve Mumbai Indians.

“It hasn’t been the easiest decision to make as I will keep playing for a few more years, but I understand that this incredible franchise which has achieved so much needs to transition and if I’m no longer to play for MI then I cannot see myself playing against MI either. Once an MI always an MI. I am immensely proud, honoured and blessed to have represented the biggest and most successful team in the IPL for the past 13 seasons,” said Pollard.
