Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav launched a scathing attack on the central government over its claim of operating 12,000 special trains during Chhath Puja. Taking to social media platform X, Lalu called the statement a “complete lie” and ridiculed the government, referring to the PM as the “Sardar of Jumlas” (chieftain of rhetoric).
Centre Lied About Running Trains for Bihar
Lalu alleged that the government claimed it would run 12,000 trains out of the total 13,198 for Bihar during the Chhath festivities — a number he called “blatantly false.” He criticised the NDA regime for failing to manage basic infrastructure like trains even during significant festivals, despite Bihar’s long history of mass migration under their rule.
He further labelled the treatment of Bihari passengers — forced to travel in overcrowded and unsafe conditions — as inhumane and shameful. The RJD chief also accused the central government of being “anti-Bihar,” pointing out that despite two decades of NDA governance, no major industries have been set up in the state.
RJD Launches New Campaign Song for Tejashwi Yadav
Amid rising political temperatures, the RJD also released a new campaign anthem presenting Tejashwi Yadav as a symbol of change. The lyrics highlight a call to action against two decades of alleged neglect and promote Tejashwi as the face of a new Bihar.
Sample lines from the song include:
“Hum Bihar hain, hum Bihar hain bhaiya,
Maang samay ki yahi hai bhaiya, naya faisla lena hai.
Bees baras se jinhone sataya, unse badla lena hai.
Tejashwi Bihar, haan ji badlenge, badlenge abki badlenge sarkar!”
The campaign video showcases Tejashwi’s 17-month governance stint, emphasizing developmental achievements and projecting him as a leader of transformation.
