New Delhi: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has reportedly received another life-threatening message from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Late Monday, Mumbai Police received a WhatsApp message demanding that the actor either publicly apologize at a temple or pay ₹5 crore if he wishes to avoid harm, according to police sources.

The latest threat, conveyed to the Mumbai Police traffic control room, claimed to be from Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother. The message stated, “Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother is speaking, and if Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our temple and apologise or give ₹5 crore. If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active.” Police have launched an investigation into the origin and validity of the message.

This incident follows a similar threat received on October 30, where a demand of ₹2 crore was made. Following that threat, a Bandra East resident, Azam Mohammad Mustafa, was arrested.

Earlier, Gufran Khan, a tattoo artist from Noida, was also arrested in connection with threats made against Salman Khan and MLA Zeeshan Siddique. These threats are believed to stem from Salman Khan’s alleged involvement in the blackbuck hunting case during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain.

Given the pattern of threats, including a gunfire incident outside Khan’s residence in April, security for the actor has been significantly increased.
