Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his guidance and support in ensuring the smooth conduct of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. He also praised the collective efforts of officials, sanitation workers, and the residents of Prayagraj in making the event a grand success.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Adityanath stated, “Respected Prime Minister, it is due to your successful guidancethat the ‘Maha Yagya of Unity, Equality, Harmony’ Maha Kumbh-2025 has concluded today, setting new standards of security, cleanliness, and governance while maintaining its grandeur and divinity.”

66 Crore Devotees Participated in Maha Kumbh 2025

Highlighting the scale of the event, Adityanath revealed that over 66 crore devotees, including saints and sages, took a holy dip in the sacred Triveni Sangam during the 45-day-long religious gathering.

He also emphasized that Maha Kumbh has strengthened the sentiment of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (The world is one family), which unites people across nations.

PM Modi Praises Yogi Adityanath’s Leadership

Earlier, in a blog post, Prime Minister Modi applauded Adityanath’s leadership, stating, “As an MP from Uttar Pradesh, I can proudly say that the government, administration, and people collectively, under Adityanath’s leadership, made this ‘Maha Kumbh of unity’ successful.”

Following the conclusion of Maha Kumbh 2025, Adityanath offered prayers to the Ganga in Prayagraj.

Acknowledging Frontline Workers and Mela Officials

During an event in Prayagraj, Adityanath distributed certificates to sanitation workers and health workers, recognizing their crucial role in ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and security at the event.

“In order to transform this grand and divine Kumbh into a global event, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all sanitation workers, health workers, transport staff, and security personnel,” Adityanath remarked.

Teamwork and Community Support Key to Success

The chief minister underlined the importance of teamwork, stating, “When any work is done with team spirit, its results are always positive, and the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj has proved this.”

He also thanked the Prayagraj Mela Authority, administrative officers, and police personnel, highlighting that with political will and collective efforts, any task can be accomplished.

“The people of Prayagraj wholeheartedly embraced this event as their own. I extend my sincere gratitude to them and the residents of Uttar Pradesh for their warm hospitality,” he said.

Maha Kumbh 2025 Concludes Successfully

The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, which commenced on January 13, officially concluded on February 26 after witnessing record-breaking participation from across the country.
