Married lover’s body recovered from minor girlfriend’s house in Ramgarh

Ramgarh: The body of 26-year-old Rambali Bedia, a resident of Khirabera Chutupalu area of Ormanjhi police station, was recovered from his minor girlfriend’s house in Dohakatu under Ramgarh police station area, yesterday.

In relation, the girl is Rambali Bedia’s sister-in-law (Sali). Rambali Bedia is married and has two daughters, aged five and seven.  On the other hand, his wife Rita Devi says that her husband has been murdered. She registered a case at the Ramgarh Police Station on Thursday. The police have started the investigation.

According to the police, Rambali was working in a crusher plant located at Khirabeda and the girl also used to work there. They were in a love affair for one year during which the minor girl got pregnant. The girl’s brother-in-law and cousin came to know about this on July 4. The young man aborted the seven-month-old fetus in the Jharkhand Hospital, Ramgarh.

Both reached the lover’s house and took him to Dohakatu with them. Apprehending the untoward incident with the husband, Rita Devi also reached there and got into a heated conversation with them. Rambali was reprimanded and asked to marry the girl. Both the accused said that the deceased went inside the girl’s house and hanged himself with the girl’s dupatta. The present relatives hurriedly pulled him out of the trap and took him to Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

According to Rita Devi, the girl’s brother-in-law and cousin took Rambali Bedia from the house. Fearing, she also reached there. Then she and her husband were locked in separate rooms. During this, Rambali was assaulted and later strangled to death.
