Ranchi, Mar 20: The operator of Medicine Point named Rakesh Ranjan committed suicide by jumping from the Mangalam Enclave apartment located in the Argora police station area of the capital on Sunday morning. He died on the spot.

After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot, took possession of the dead body and started investigating the matter.  The reason for Rakesh’s suicide is however not clear.

Argora police station in-charge said that Rakesh Ranjan has committed suicide by jumping from the apartment. The police are investigating the matter. The reason behind committing suicide has not been revealed.

Interestingly, this is the same Rakesh Ranjan, whose name came up in the interrogation of the CID by Rajeev Singh, who was arrested earlier in the black marketing of Remdesivir injection. The Crime Investigation Department (CID) team, which is investigating the black marketing case of Remdesivir injection, had made Rakesh Ranjan a government witness.

Rajeev Singh had said to the police that he had taken a Remdesivir injection from Rakesh Ranjan. The story came out differently when the CID team investigated the whole matter. All the injections came from Srishti Hospital in Hinoo, Doranda.

During interrogation, the CID got information that Manish Sinha, who was associated with Srishti Hospital, did not take money for the injection. Being familiar and friendly, he gave this injection to Rakesh Ranjan.
