Jamshedpur, Oct 14:  The weather conditions would remain clear and dry for the next five days at least, said weathermen at IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

No significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand.

Southwest monsoon has further withdrawn from most parts of Bihar; remaining parts of Jharkhand; some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal; entire Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha; remaining parts of Chhattisgarh;

some parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh; most parts of Telangana; some more parts of North Interior Karnataka.

The line of withdrawal of southwest monsoon was today passing through Forbesganj, Malda, 24.0°N/89.0°E, 20.0°N/89.0°E, Vishakhapatnam, Nalgonda, Raichur, Venture and 16.0°N/70.0°E.

The withdrawal of south-west monsoon from the state of Jharkhand had started on  October 9. Now it has entirely withdrawn from the state.

Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 36.6°C was recorded in Godda while the lowest minimum temperature of 19.1°C was recorded in Ranchi.

The Regional Meteorological Centre in Kolkata too declared the exit of monsoon from Jharkhand. “The weather will now remain dry,” said a duty officer. He ruled out cyclonic circulations or depressions over the Bay of Bengal in the next 72-hours , atleast.
