Ministers, actors bid adieu to Mulayam Singh Yadav in UP’s Saifai

Lucknow, Oct 11: Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, fondly called ‘Netaji’ was cremated on Tuesday in his native village Saifai, Uttar Pradesh.

Saifai in Uttar Pradesh witnessed a sea of bereaved supporters mourning the passing of socialist leader Mulayam Singh Yadav.

On Monday, the founder of the Samajwadi Party and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh passed away at a Gurugram private hospital at the age of 82.

Last night, his mortal remains were brought to Saifai. Yadav comes from Saifai, which is a political stronghold for the family in UP’s Ettawah district.

Numerous people lined up to pay their respects to beloved Netaji, as the political stalwart was affectionately known, while the gloomy skies and steady precipitation added to the solemnity.

Along with party members, fans, and villagers, Yadav’s final journey featured a sizable contingent of well-known figures from a variety of fields.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Nationalist Party Chief Sharad Pawar, his daughter and member of parliament Supriya Sule, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu, Keshav Prasad Maurya, Jitin Prasada, Suresh Khanna, Azam Khan, Brajesh Pathak, Abu Azmi, Sanjay Nish, Abhishek Bachchan were also present.
