Teja Sajja’s fantasy drama Mirai continued its strong run at the box office, building on an impressive opening day. Despite mixed reviews, the Karthik Gattamneni directorial gained momentum on its second day, reflecting strong word-of-mouth.
Solid Numbers Across Markets
According to early Sacnilk estimates, Mirai collected ₹13 crore on Day 1 and grew by 11.54% on Day 2, earning ₹14.5 crore. Its two-day total now stands at ₹27.5 crore in India. The film’s core Telugu market showed remarkable strength with an overall 71.57% occupancy on Saturday, peaking in the afternoon at nearly 81%. The Hindi belt logged 18.92% occupancy, suggesting space for further expansion.
Beats HanuMan Records
With these figures, Mirai has surpassed Teja Sajja’s previous hit HanuMan, which earned ₹8.05 crore and ₹12.45 crore on its first two days respectively. Backed by People Media Factory, the fantasy drama features Ritika Nayak, Manoj Manchu, Jagapathi Babu, Shriya Saran, and Jayaram in key roles and continues to perform well in theatres.
