Ranchi, Jan 11: The case of mob lynching of Simdega resident Sanju Pradhan is gaining momentum as Sanju Pradhan’s wife along with BJP MLA Amar Kumar Bauri met Governor Ramesh Bais appealing for justice.

Bauri demanded the Governor to take strict action against the culprits by ordering a CBI inquiry into the matter on which the Governor intervened and assured him of justice.

Explaining the incident to the governor, Sanju Pradhan’s wife said that the mob reached her house in a planned manner and took her husband out. Then they beat him with sticks and stones. When Sanju Pradhan became unconscious from the beating, he was put on fire alive on a pyre made nearby.

“I saw the whole incident in front of my eyes and kept pleading with the police to save him, but they remained a mute spectator,” she said.

At the same time, Amar Bauri said that a husband has been killed in front of his wife and then a 2-month-old child in her womb is also destroyed. All this happened when the police were present at the scene. But no action was taken from their side to save the deceased.

He also questioned the role of the police and the MLA there in this whole matter.

“The Governor has taken this entire development seriously and assured to take appropriate action on the matter. We hope that the Governor will intervene on this matter and fulfill our demand of getting the entire matter investigated by the CBI,” Bauri said.
