MP: 10 die after fire breaks out at hospital in Jabalpur

New Delhi, Aug 1: A large fire broke out at a private hospital in the Jabalpur area of Madhya Pradesh on Monday. The event happened at the New Life Multispecialty hospital in Jabalpur’s Damoh Naka neighbourhood.

According to Jabalpur district collector Allaiya Raja, ten people have been confirmed killed and two have suffered critical injuries in the fire.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs each for the next of kin of 4 people who lost their lives in the fire incident.

Firefighters have arrived at the spot. Further details are awaited.
