Mumbai, July 25: Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal received life threats through social media after which Mumbai police have registered a case against unknown person on Monday.
According to ANI, the police registered a case against an unidentified man and initiated an investigation for allegedly giving life threats to the couple through social media. The case has been registered at Santacruz Police Station.
“Case registered at Santacruz PS on complaint of Vicky Kaushal u/s 506(2),354(D) IPC r/w sec 67 IT Act. He complained that one person has been threatening and posting threat messages on Instagram. He stated that the accused has also been stalking his wife and threatening her,” the Mumbai Police said according to ANI.
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal got married at the luxurious Six Senses Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan on December 9, 2021.
Recently, threats in the form of letters were also sent to actor Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan which said that the father-son duo will suffer the same fate as the Punjabi artist Sidhu Moosewala, who passed away in May.
After the incident, security for Salman and his family was increased. The Bishnoi gang allegedly intended to extort money from Bollywood celebrities, according to the investigators.
