NCC cadets from Jharkhand, Bihar learn tricks of yachting at Patratu

Ramgarh, Sept 13: The NCC cadet training of Jharkhand Naval Unit NCC at Patratu Dam and SS High School, Patratu was reviewed by Bihar and Jharkhand State ADG Major General M Indra Balan on Monday. He also joined the boat pulling and yachting training of NCC cadets and taught them the tricks related to it.

Commanding Officer of NCC Ranchi Group 7 Headquarters Colonel Virendra, Director of Bihar Jharkhand Directorate Lieutenant Shubham Awasthi, Colonel VK Mal and others were also present on the occasion.

After the dam, the higher officials inspected the SS Plus Two High School, Patratu where they encouraged the cadets and taught them discipline lessons.

They also awarded successful participants in the written examination. Jiya Tiwari bagged first place while Priya Tirkey got the second position. The third position was bagged by Saurabh Pandey.

The cadets are being trained here on behalf of Lieutenant Shubham Kumar Awasthi Camp Commandant. A total of 78 cadets from Bihar and Jharkhand states are participating in this camp which includes 46 boys and 32 girls. In this 24-day-long camp, cadets are being trained in activities like wind sailing, boat pulling, firing, parade swimming, and tent setting apart from naval courses.

At the same time, the cadets who performed successfully in the camp will represent the team of Bihar and Jharkhand states in the All India NCC tournament to be held in Vishakhapatnam.
