New Delhi, March 15: Netflix, the streaming platform announced on Wednesday that a documentary film based on hip-hop artist and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is set to arrive.

The project, dubbed a ‘bare-it-all docu-film,’ would see Yo Yo Honey Singh delve deeply into life and his abrupt absence at the height of his success, shocking the industry and fans and attracting a lot of media attention.

It will document the rapper’s personal and professional journey and feature behind-the-scenes footage from Hirdesh Singh, better known by his stage name Yo Yo Honey Singh, as well as interviews with those who have supported him throughout it all, including his family, friends, and musical collaborators.

“This Netflix docu-film will give everyone an honest and sincere account of my life, my upbringing, where I’ve been and my current journey to return stronger,” said Honey Singh in a statement.

Mozez Singh is the documentary’s director, while Guneet Monga and Achin Jain of Sikhya Entertainment—the company that just won an Oscar for “The Elephant Whisperers”—are in charge of its production.

Monga claimed that she had always been attracted by Yo Yo Honey Singh’s ‘tumultuous path with fame,’ which had captured the interest of the entire nation.
