New Delhi, July 2: The gangsters lodged in the jails of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana might be shifted from there. It is reported that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has requested the Ministry of Home Affairs to transfer 10-12 gangsters lodged in jails of North India to Andaman and Nicobar Jail (Kala Pani). It is said that in this regard there has been an intense discussion between the officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the officers of the NIA. The NIA has asked the officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs to send some vicious prisoners to Andaman and Nicobar Jail.
According to sources, the NIA wants those gangsters who are lodged in the jails of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana to be sent to the Andaman jail, who are running their criminal syndicate even while living in the jails here. NIA believes that this will destroy the network of these gangsters. According to the report, NIA is also considering sending some gangsters to Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam. Waris Punjab de Pramukh Amritpal Singh and his associates are lodged in this jail.
According to Home Ministry sources, initially there was a proposal to send these gangsters to jails in South India, but the process would have been long. For this, permission is required from the state governments. As Andaman and Nicobar is a union territory, so the central government will not have to take separate permission from anyone to send these gangsters there. According to the news of the Indian Express, Lawrence Bishnoi, the main accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, is also included in this list.
Such a step needs to be taken by NIA because there is a danger of mutual gang war between criminals in Delhi jails. On May 2, gangster Tillu Tajpuria, who was lodged inside Tihar Jail, was brutally killed. Deepak alias Teetar, Yogesh alias Tunda, Rajesh and Riyaz Khan were accused of this. According to the information, the attackers were planning for two to three years to kill Tajpuria inside the jail. Notably, a few days ago, the Crime Branch had informed the court that gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra were running a crime syndicate while in jail.
Both are inducting the boys into the gang from the jail itself and getting them to extort money. Bishnoi and Nehra have revealed to the police that gangster Kapil alias Nandu, who fled from Delhi to London, and Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi, who is living in America, are jointly getting new boys to commit crimes.
