Patna, Aug 24: Nitish Kumar-led grand alliance government won trust vote in Bihar Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.
“We (RJD and JDU) have taken the pledge to work together for the development of Bihar. Leaders from across the country called me and congratulated me on this decision and I urged all of them to fight together in the 2024 elections,” said Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in Legislative Assembly.
In order to form a “Mahagathbandhan” government , the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Janata Dal (United) severed ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He was sworn in as the chief minister for a record eighth time after the JDU teamed up with the RJD and Congress to form the government.
