Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday inspected the APJ Abdul Kalam Science City located in Rajendra Nagar, closely reviewing its infrastructure, galleries, and scientific exhibits while interacting with children present at the venue and encouraging their interest in science.
Overview of the Science City Infrastructure
During the visit, Building Construction Department Secretary Kumar Ravi briefed the Chief Minister on the facilities and overall arrangements at the Science City. He informed that the project is spread across 21 acres and features five science-based galleries, 269 interactive science exhibits, an auditorium, a 4D theatre, and dormitory facilities for students and teachers, making it one of the state’s major educational attractions.
Focus on Innovation and Scientific Awareness
The Chief Minister appreciated the concept and execution of the Science City, stating that it has been developed with innovative ideas and serves as a modern hub for science and innovation. He noted that the centre is designed to attract people of all age groups and offers a unique platform to understand science and technology in an engaging manner. He further emphasized that the facility aims to increase scientific awareness among the youth by helping students grasp basic scientific principles, activities, and concepts in a simple and interactive way, thereby fostering long-term interest in science.
