Daltonganj, Nov. 12: Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in Daltonganj is to be assessed and rated again by the medical assessment and rating board of the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Sources said that the NMC has mailed the principal of the college to send a filled-up form again which has to be sworn in an affidavit, notarized on the non-judicial stamp, on or before November 15.

This is the second such request for a duly filled form from the medical college and hospital in just a month’s time.

The principal of MMCH, Dr. Shailendra Kumar when approached on phone said, “We have been asked again to send an updated version of the facilities available in our college on or before November 15 to the National Medical Commission. The information has to be in PDF form followed by hard copy to be couriered to the NMC.”

He said every assessment and rating follows a fee of Rs 3.54 lakhs.

The medical college had paid this fee during the first such assessment and now again this fee of Rs 3.54 lakh is to be paid by the administration.

The Principal further said we are to act as per the provisions laid for the assessment and rating etc. The fee amount is to be sent to the National Medical Commission either through RTGS or through NEFT.

Just a few weeks ago, the NMC had sent in the principal cum deputy director of IGIMS Patna Arjun Guha to assess and rate this college. This one-man team had carried out the assessment of this medical college very precisely and professionally during the fag end of October month. It was a three-day inspection for the assessment and rating.
