Ranchi, Jan.11: A state of normalcy has returned at HEC after workers ended their 38 old tools down strike which they had started after remaining deprived of their wages for more than seven months.

The situation came after a formal agreement took place between the HEC management and representatives of workers at HEC headquarters in Dhurwa.

Terms of agreement included wages of 45 days every month till clearance of outstanding salary of workers, payment of canteen allowance after getting recommendation of CMD as early as possible, no deduction of strike period salary and no disciplinary action against agitating workers.

Union leaders made the agreement public after addressing the workers publicly. The leaders, however, asked them to get ready for strike in case of non-fulfilment of terms of agreement by February 15.
