NPU Daltonganj: Non-teaching staff’s stir for festival advance ends after four days

Daltonganj,  Sept 24: The four-day long dharna of the non-teaching employees on the premises of the Nilamber Pitamber University ended amicably on a note of written agreement between them and the university. The call-off of dharna has been hailed by both sides.

Registrar Dr Rakesh Kumar, CCDC A K Pandey etc and Ved Prakash Shukla, Perween, Sanjay Singh and others from the side of non-teaching staff signed the agreement.

As per the agreement, there will be no coercive action against any of the employees for the period of dharna from September 20 to 23 by the university. The days gone into the dharna would be deducted from the earned leave of the employees concerned.

Regarding the advance, the third grade will get Rs 75,000 as a festival advance while the fourth grade will get Rs 50,000. These advances would be adjusted in 24 installments of equal value from the monthly salary of the employees.

Further, such employees or employees whose retirement falls within 24 months from now will have to give an undertaking to the effect of adjustment of their or his festival advance with their monthly salary.

Employee(s) not interested in taking the festival advance will have to communicate it in writing to the nearest authority or controlling officer of him or them. Those having court cases will have to undertake to abide by the order, verdict, judgment of the court in the light of this festival advance.
