Jamshedpur, Oct 9: The National Security Guard (NSG) All India Car Rally- ‘Sudarshan Bharat Parikrama’ marking country’s ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’ left for Kolkata from steel City on Saturday.
The rally was flagged off from Tata Steel’s main gate at Bistupur by vice- president ( Corporate Affairs) Chanakya Chaudhary.
Steel City residents encouraged the NSG commandoes by waving at them as the rally left Jamshedpur.
The rally went through various thoroughfares before hitting the NH-33 on way to Kolkata via Ghatshila and Baharagora.
The rally reached Jamshedpur on Friday evening.
As the rally entered the city, Jamshedpur police headed by city SP Subhash Chandra Jat guided the car rally by creating green corridor from Domuhani Bridge to the Armoury Ground in Bistupur.
The army medical van was in front of the convoy, followed by PCR vehicle of Kapali police station, team of 47 commandos in 15 Tata Black Harrier vehicles carrying the tricolor of India and the NSG logo as the car rally entered Jamshedpur.
The rally after entering the city went through the Sai Temple at Circuit House Area, TMH roundabout before culminating at the Armoury Ground where Covid-19 test of all the jawans were conducted.
During the 7,500 km long journey, the car rally of NSG will pass through important and historic places which has relevance with the country’s freedom movement. The rally will conclude on October 30 at the Police Memorial in New Delhi.
