Daltonganj, Dec 7: The Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Chief Wildlife Warden of Jharkhand, Shashikar Samanta, a 1989 batch IFS officer, and Pradeep Kumar, the retired PCCF and chief wildlife warden of Jharkhand who is now the chairperson of the NTCA advisory committee for the Palamu Tiger Reserve have begun inspection of the reserve.
The duo arrived at the PTR on Tuesday and had a lengthy discussion with officials in the evening at Betla. The two tops would cover both the North and South divisions of the PTR. It is the maiden visit of both of the officers in the PTR.
Pradeep Kumar will send his inspection report to the National Tiger Conservation Authority, Delhi while Shashikar Samanta along with other officials is said to be exploring what more beneficial can be done to develop the tiger reserve.
