Lucknow, July 28: As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence, the Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India in collaboration with State Govt and District Administration, Lucknow organised ‘Bijli Mahotsav’ on July 28 at Ambalika Institute of management and technology, Mohanlalganj, Lucknow (UP).
This was the second event of Bijli Mahotsav organized in Lucknow district as a part of the ‘Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya Power@ 2047’ being held in 773 districts across the country from July 25 to 30.
The Chief Guest of the program was AK Sharma, Cabinet Minister (Energy and additional energy resources and Urban Development), UP.
Besides, Somendra Tomar, Minister of State (Energy and alternative Energy), UP; Amresh Kumar, MLA, Mohanlalganj, and Suryapal Gangwar, District Magistrate of Lucknow graced the event as special guests.
Apart from the above, Milan Kumar, General Manager (HR), NTPC and Yogesh Kumar, Director (Commercial), MVVNL were also present at the event.
AK Sharma, the Chief Guest of the program, addressed the large gathering.
The dignitaries highlighted the benefits of electricity and said that the power sector has witnessed phenomenal growth in the last few years and appreciated the efforts made by NTPC Ltd in the field of power generation.
Nukkad Natak (based on solar energy and saving electricity), a cultural program, and a short film on the power sector were screened during the program.
District Nodal Officer (NTPC) for Bijli Mahotsav of Lucknow delivered the welcome address and Vote of Thanks.
