Mumbai, Sept 15: Days after recording Ranveer Singh’s statement, Mumbai police informed on Thursday that the actor said claimed someone modified and tampered with one of his images in the controversial photoshoot case.
The actor claims that the photograph was not taken as it is being presented. On August 29, the police took a statement from Ranveer Singh, which they are now checking.

Notably, the actor was booked for obscenity under Sections 292, 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 509 and 67(A) of the Information Technology (IT) Act. The FIR against him was lodged at Chembur police station.
Ranveer Singh was charged with ‘hurting the sentiments of women’ in a police complaint. According to the complainant, the actor’s photos offended women’s feelings and mocked their modesty.
Since the publication of the photographs from his photo shoot with PAPER magazine in July, the actor has become embroiled in a number of controversies. Overnight, the photos went viral. Some people criticised them, while others praised the actor for his audacious approach.
