New Delhi, Dec 25: The biopic on former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, ‘Main Atal Hoon,’ was announced by actor Pankaj Tripathi on Instagram. The former PM Vajpayee is shown in the images and films as a prime minister, poet, statesman, and gentleman. The actor is wearing a jacket and dhoti-kurta, while prosthetics are being used for makeup.
He wrote in the post, “na main kahin dagmagaya, na main kahin sar jhukaya, main atal hoon.”
“I know that it is necessary for me to work on my personality with restraint in order to make ‘Atal’ ji’s personality come true on screen. With enthusiasm and morale, I have firm faith that I will be able to do justice to my new role,” he wrote in another post.
“A little excitement, fear and with a lot of feelings of sincerity in my heart, I am devoted to playing the role of Atal – “I am Atal”. Portraying his role is no less than appearing for an examination. But I have his blessing with me and I have full faith,” he wrote in a post yesterday.
The actor’s admirers and supporters were pleasantly delighted to see him in this avatar. The post received numerous ‘wow’ comments and red heart emojis. Others praised the actor’s makeup-aided transition into the character.
The movie, written by Utkarsh Naithani and directed by three-time National Award winner Ravi Jadhav, will be shown on December 25, 2023. The music for the movie will be composed by the musical duet Salim-Sulaiman. Sonu Nigam, a singer, provided the vocals for the announcement video.
