Ranchi, Mar 26: The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Pareeksha Pe Charcha’ – 2022 (PPC) which is scheduled to be held on April 1, 2022. PPC 2022 will be the 5th edition of the annual talk PM Modi conducts to interact with students regarding examination stress.

PM Modi will also be interacting with parents and teachers across the country as well. As per the Ministry of Education, Pariksha Pe Charcha will be held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi.

With PPC 2022, the Prime Minister aims to have a unique interactive programme through which students, parents, teachers across the country and from overseas interact with him to discuss their concerns ahead of exam season and methods to overcome the stress that comes with examinations.

Registrations for PPC 2022 began in December-January in order to select participants for the interactive session. Around 15.7 lakh participants have registered for the creative writing competition conducted earlier.

As per PM Modi, PPC is a ‘fantastic learning’ opportunity as it allows him to interact with the youth of the country on a one-on-one basis which promotes a better understanding of the current issues faced by them.

As per a notification released by the Jharkhand Education Department, the progrmme will be telecast on DD National, DD News and DD India. The show can also be heard on Aakashwani and Aakashwani FM. Students can also watch the event live on the Union Ministry of Education’s Facebook page and Youtube channel.

In 2021, PPC was conducted on April 7 in New Delhi where PM Modi made emphasis on reducing pressure on students, especially parental and teacher pressure and work towards creating a healthy environment for students. “If we decrease the pressure on students, the fear of exams will come down and students will be able to focus better,” stated the Prime Minister.

Notably, this event has been organised for the last four years by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education. The first three editions of PPC were held in New Delhi in a town-hall interactive format. The fourth edition was held online on April 7 last year.
