Jamshedpur, May 15: Partly cloudy sky and dry weather are expected to prevail in Jharkhand today, said weathermen at IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
According to weathermen, the prevailing wind pattern was resulting in cloud formation and moisture incursion into the atmosphere in most parts of Jharkhand.
The Meteorological Centre forecast indicated a 2-3 degree Celsius rise in maximum temperature during the next 48 – hours.
Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24- hours.
The highest maximum temperature of 41.6°C was recorded at Daltonganj while the lowest minimum temperature of 24.2°C was recorded at Chaibasa.
Meteorological statistics suggested that apart from Daltonganj a couple of other places including Garhwa and Chaibasa in West Singhbhum recorded over 41 degrees Celsius in the past 24 – hours
The Meteorological office forecast suggested light rain and thunderstorm activity in northeastern parts of the state tomorrow, May 16.
Weathermen also issued an alert of thunderstorms and lightning in isolated pockets of eastern Jharkhand around mid-week.
